Houston Truck Accident Leads To Fuel Spill

A Houston truck accident on the Southwest Freeway led to a fuel spill Wednesday morning.

HazMat teams were dispatched to the scene, near Wilcrest. According to police, a car struck the big rig, but the rig driver kept going until he realized his truck was on fire.

At that point, the driver of the 18-wheeler attempted to reverse down a ramp, but one of his wheels became stuck on a guard rail.

The rig was carrying 120 gallons of fuel, some of which leaked down the ramp.
