Off-Duty Deputy Hurt In Houston Motorcycle Accident

A Houston motorcycle accident on Sunday resulted in an off-duty deputy being taken to the hospital Sunday.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office deputy was working an extra job directing traffic for a funeral at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bellfort Street when he was struck by an Isuzu Rodeo that failed to yield the right-of-way.

The vehicle dragged the deputy across lanes of traffic, hitting two other vehicles, officials said. The deputy suffered only minor injuries and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
